Parkview Arts Action collaborated with WildAid and the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco to create On Sharks & Humanity.
WildAid is a non-profit organisation who aims to stop the illegal wildlife trade. They undertake public awareness campaigns and comprehensive marine protection projects. WildAid’s campaigns, in combination with government bans at official events, have contributed to a reported 50% decrease in China’s shark fin consumption.
First to host the exhibition is The Oceanographic Museum of Monaco. They are dedicated to promoting the protection and sustainable management of the oceans by acting as a mediator between the scientific community, political and economic decision-makers and the general public. The museum is faithful to the vision of its founder, Prince Albert I, in uniting the two driving forces of humanity: Art and Science.
In 2015, On Sharks & Humanity will be hosted in Moscow at the Ekaterina Cultural Foundation. The Foundation aims to provide the Russian public with access to contemporary art.
