Zou Liang’s new exhibition opened at Parkview Green 798 on July 11. It’s open until August 16, so you have plenty of time to explore this bright and curious exhibition.
There are certain similarities between this exhibition and Zou Liang’s previous solo exhibition in 2011. They are both based on the artist’s personal experience, and can be viewed as an attempt to to objectify, formalise, enlarge and re-think his feelings and judgments from a certain moment. That said, this exhibition is a greater exploration of how man interacts with the outside world.
This exhibition shows an artist trying to capture a momentary experience and attitude, and attempting to keep it in an abstract form of sentiment by means of blurred images. As is implied in its title, the exhibition, on the whole, also embodies the artist’s persistently reflective and analytical attitude towards life and reality.
